In The Fog of War, Be A Lighthouse
I originally posted this last November, but the message is still relevant today.
Saying "the fog of war is thick" is more than just a phrase. It's the truth.
Fog (noun) \ fȯg \
1. A thick cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the atmosphere at or near the earth's surface which obscures or restricts visibility.
2. Something that obscures and confuses a situation or someone's thought processes.
In war, fog keeps the truth hidden. This tactic is used by both sides. In The Art of War, Sun Tzu said, "All warfare is based on deception."
Wars have been lost because the fog of war provided bad intel.
Wars have been won because the fog of war provided cover and opportunities to strike.
I know things are confusing right now, but we never once said this battle would be easy.
My advice? When you can't see God's purpose, focus instead on His presence.
Choose to be a lighthouse in the fog of war.
Be encouraged...We win because God won!
