The battle can be an emotional roller coaster, but the truth isn't dependent on our emotions; God has won the war.
In the spirit of transparency, I was discouraged for awhile this afternoon after hearing of Sussmann's acquittal. When I watch evil prosper with seemingly no accountability or end in sight, I get angry. However, I was reminded of some Scripture that brought me peace: "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb" (Psalm 37:1-2).
If we could see all that's happening in the Throne Room of God right now, we'd be encouraged to continue the fight.
If we could see all that's happening behind the scenes in the political battle today, we'd be committed to continue the fight.
We don't always see what's happening, but remember that "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Have faith; we may not see it at the moment, but we are already more than conquerors through Christ.
Allow this truth to turn your fears and frustrations into calm resolve.
"Appear WEAK when you are STRONG, and strong when you are weak."
Sun Tzu, The Art of War
"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am WEAK, then am I STRONG."
Paul, 2 Corinthians 12:10
