Through The Highs And The Lows, God Is Faithful
For those in Christ, victory is certain because God has already won the war.
In 1 Kings 17, Elijah was fed by God at the brook. Things were good.
Then the brook dried up. Things were bad.
Then God led Elijah to a widow's house and he was cared for. Things were good.
Then in 1 King 18, Elijah saw a great victory over the prophets of Baal when the fire of the Lord fell from heaven. Things were good.
Then in 1 Kings 19, Elijah suffered from exhaustion and depression and hid himself in a cave. Things were bad.
Then in 2 Kings 2, God took Elijah to heaven in a whirlwind. Things were good.
That's a quick, brief recap of Elijah's life, but in just a few short chapters we see a few of the highs and lows of Elijah's life; do you ever feel like you can relate? We, like Elijah, experience highs and lows in our life, but through each circumstance, God is still in control of our lives.
Today might have been a high point in your life, and you might have seen great victories. Today might have been a low point for you, and you're struggling just to make it through the evening. Wherever you find yourself, trust God. He is in control. He loves you, and He is working all things together for good.
Be encouraged...for those in Christ, victory is certain because God has already won the war! ๐ฅ

Praise be to God! I have seen this same scenario many times in my life. Most of the bad times seemed endless, but they were not. The Lord turned me around, turned the situation around, or I remembered to look for the good--and I always found it. I trust in the Lord with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind and with all my strength!
